Taken from a Review of When Kev was touring with Joe Pasquale

According to a woman sitting two rows behind us, it was the supporting act that stole the show, and I am inclined to agree.

Unfamiliar with his real name, I refer to him as Joe did: Kev the illegal immigrant from Albania.

A truly entertaining act, he managed to engage the audience with his exuberant cheekiness and his topical references to our social welfare system.

His impersonation of Elton John's Rocket Man, apparently learnt from a skipping record, was memorable.

To top this off, he happened to be an accomplished pianist, closing with an inspiring rendition of scores from famous classical composers.

Without a shadow of a doubt a very talented performer.

Another outstanding performer was Kev Orkian, although of a quite different genre.

As well as being a first class comedian, with the ability to make smutty jokes and behaviour acceptable and extremely funny, he is a strong singer and dancer.

He and Hayley Tamaddon recreated to me the great comedian and soubrette routines, which enhanced and were so popular in the pre-war musical comedies and operettas.

COVENTRY EVENING TELEGRAPH

The real show-stealer is Kev Orkian, as hilarious, squeaky-voiced Terry, constantly putting his foot in it, and sharing gags with his dizzy girlfriend Trish, played by Hayley Tamaddon.

FROM "THIS IS NOTTINGHAM"

Show-stopping performances from Hayley Tamaddon as the scatty Trish and her boyfriend Terry, a role which gives Kev Orkian the chance to steal a fair share of the limelight.

FROM THE NOTTINGHAM STAGE.....

""The highlight for me was Kev Orkian who played Terry, one of Roddy's friends who was dealing with the same issues.

He was fabulous. His comic moments and mannerisms excelled him way above the rest""

Buttons, played by Kev Orkian, gave everyone a laugh with his funny faces and infectious screeching laugh and sung pop songs that all the kids knew such as S-Club 7’s Reach For The Stars and Bob The Builder’s hit, Mambo No 5, were sung w ith gusto.

Review from the Stage

Woking On Line Review

Excellent performance by Kev Orkian as Buttons, an enormously sympathetic character who has the audience in his hand within minutes. This cheeky and loveable loser in love is the best I've seen. He reminds me of Freddie Starr -' without the excessive lunacy and surrealism. There is a restrained episode of water-squirting, but that's the only messy bit -'

The Stage Review

Kev Orkian's Buttons to shine. In fact, Orkian is such a hit that it is him the kids want Alex Lovell's sweet but underused Cinders to marry by the production's sumptuous close.
